Bacon and Egg in the Air Fryer
Welcome, everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Thanks for watching this video. Today, we're trying something different – an experiment to make bacon and egg in the air fryer. While I've cooked bacon before, this is my first time trying to air fry an egg, along with a bun. Let's see how it goes!
Ingredients:
- Bacon
- Egg
- Bun
- Air fryer rack
Procedure:
- Prepare the Bun: Place the bun at the bottom of the air fryer. Press it down slightly to create a recess for the egg.
- Crack the Egg: Carefully crack the egg into the recess on the bun. If the egg leaks, create a barrier to keep it contained.
- Add the Bacon: Lay the bacon on the air fryer rack above the bun. This way, the bacon fat will drip down and flavor the bun.
- Set the Air Fryer: Use air crisp mode at 180°C (350°F) for 7 minutes.
Mid-Cooking Check:
After 7 minutes, check the bacon and the egg. Turn the bacon over if needed. If the egg isn't fully cooked, you might need to cook it for an additional minute.
Final Steps:
- Adjust Cooking Time: If the egg needs more time, increase the temperature to 200-210°C (390-410°F) and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Check the Egg and Bacon: Ensure the egg is cooked to your preference. If the bacon is crispy and the egg is set, it's ready to go.
Assembling the Sandwich:
- Butter the Bun: Spread some butter on the bun for extra moisture.
- Add Sauces: Apply your favorite sauces. Today, I used a combination of brown sauce and tomato ketchup.
- Combine: Place the bacon on top of the egg and bun, and add the top bun.
Taste Test:
The sandwich should be crispy and flavorful. If the egg is slightly overcooked, it may be a bit dry, so add more sauce for extra moisture. Overall, this experiment turned out well, and it's a fun and easy way to make a bacon and egg sandwich in the air fryer.
