Air Fried Baked Eggs in Toast: Two Delicious Variations
Welcome back to Air Frying Foodie! I hope you're all doing well. Today, I'm excited to share a delightful recipe for air fried baked eggs in toast. I'll be showing you two variations: one with a firm yolk and the other with a runny yolk. Each version requires different timings and temperatures, so be sure to watch until the end to catch every step.
Ingredients:
- Bread slices
- Butter
- Eggs
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Optional: Chili flakes, chili powder
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread:
- Take a slice of bread and apply butter on both sides.
- Using a small round bowl, gently press a circular shape into the center of the bread. Be careful not to press too hard to avoid cutting through the bread. Use a spoon to press the shape firmly.
Add the Egg:
- Place the prepared bread slice on your air fryer tray.
- Crack an egg into the center of the bread circle.
Season the Egg:
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper over the egg.
- Optionally, add chili flakes or a pinch of chili powder for extra flavor and color.
Air Frying Instructions:
- For a firm yolk: Air fry at 385°F (195°C) for 7 minutes.
- For a runny yolk: Air fry at 385°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
Serve and Enjoy:
- Once done, the toast will be crispy and golden. The firm yolk variation is perfect with avocado or your favorite dip, while the runny yolk version is a breakfast favorite.
Pro Tips:
- For an extra crispy toast, be sure to butter both sides of the bread.
- Adjust the seasoning to your taste. The addition of chili flakes or powder can enhance both the flavor and presentation.
